| The history of Garlic Garden and the Fillion family is simple, but the history of our #1 selling product, Lebanese Breeze, is very intriguing. This light fluffy, whipped garlic recipe has finally found it’s own place in the world. In the beginning, this recipe has seen centuries pass, families sharing meals around crude tables, breaking bread in the mountains of Lebanon. A million thanks I owe to my Mother Lucille and my Grandmother Deba for one of the gifts they gave me in the way of this simple recipe. Deba carried this recipe to the U.S. as an immigrant from Lebanon, known then as Syria, around the turn of the last century. As a poor immigrant, she was sometimes able to sell small quantities of Lebanese Breeze, then called, “The Garlic”, to buy a modest meal for the day. As her children were born, my mother Lucille acquired the recipe and in turn passed it on to me. My mother found modern equipment assisted her in the pains-taking task of making our whipped garlic, but kept the quality the same.
As years passed and my own family grew the idea also grew to establish a location to offer this treasure to consumers. With the help of my son Titan, who’s middle name we used for our Orion Spice, and my wife Tracy, we were blessed to find a location in Seattle’s Famous Pike Place Market to establish our store setting, which we named Garlic Garden. We've now moved strictly into the Wholesale World, but our garlic is available at Whole Foods and other fine retailers. Check out our retailers to find one near you, or visit Whole Foods in their produce section, right by the mushrooms! In the new millennium, we created 3 new flavors of Lebanese Breeze, Basil, Jalapeno, and Jalapeno / Jolokia "Ghost Pepper." We also offer our own blend of spice, Orion Spice. They are nothing short of an instant success, with our customers raving with delight. Our final thanks goes to you, our customer in our hopes of bringing pleasure to your table. All our best!Dean, Tracy & Titan Fillion – Owners - Founders
