Caprese Lebanese Breeze Style
Caprese salad is a recipe that can be enjoyed at any time of the day, especially if you have fresh local garden tomatoes. But, what really makes Caprese great is using some Lebanese Breeze with the olive-oil as a dressing.
Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 Vine Ripened Tomatoes (But your favorite tomato type can be used). Depending on size, you may need more.
- 1 lb Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
- Bread - typically baguettes
- Fresh Basil - 1 bunch
- Balsamic Glaze
- Lebanese Breeze Whipped Garlic (best with our Basil Recipe)
- Cracked Pepper
Directions:
If you have a whole baguette (you can buy pre-sliced), slice your bread to about 1/3 or 1/2 inch. Toast the slices in a toaster or oven. After bread is done toasting, spread Lebanese Breeze (basil recipe is best) onto each slice of bread.
Slice your tomatoes and your mozzarella cheese into 1/4 to 1/3 inch slices. Arrange them on the plate as you like.
Cut, tear, or shred the basil leaves (you can also use whole if you're in a hurry and really hungry :-)) and sprinkle over the top of your tomatoes and mozzarella.
Take the Balsamic Glaze and drizzle evenly over the plate. Add cracked pepper as desired. Enjoy!
