Sauteed Shrimp Cocktail
With the Academy Awards coming, Oscar Parties will be popping up all over the place, I can't think of a better appetizer to take to a party than Sauteed Shrimp Cocktail. You won't have to worry about taking anything but an empty plate back home with you. :-) This recipe is easy and quick to fix, with no dipping required. People will love the shrimp just plain or with any kind of cracker.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
2 teaspoon(s) of
Lebanese Breeze Basil or if you want some heat, try
Jalapeno or
Jolokia recipes.
1/2 teaspoon of Sesame Oil
1 pound(s) jumbo shrimp, peeled, tail-on, de-veined
1 tablespoon(s) herbes de Provence
Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon(s) ground turmeric
Directions:
Using a large skillet, heat olive oil / Lebanese Breeze mix over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and
herbes de Provence. Add Sesame Oil and stir until mixed into the Shrimp. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook the
shrimp (stirring frequently) until pink and cooked through. You can usually cook about 3
minutes each side depending on the size of the shrimp.
